				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Torres Novas Castle was built during the reign of King Sancho I, under an older fortification, according supposed. In the reign of Ferdinand underwent restoration and, between 1374 and 1376, eleven towers were built, but the earthquake of 1755 came to destroy all the walls and towers that had been erected. With the presence of the French invaders degradation was accentuated and the castle was completely doomed to abandonment. Today presents a polygonal towers and preserves some of the fourteenth century, including the keep. (National Monument)</p>
